Why Detox Is Essential After Treatment
There are many reasons to detox, especially if you are receiving conventional treatment as they are very toxic and it is important to detox them out of you once they have hopefully done the job that they were supposed to do.
Supporting and Enhancing the Body’s Natural Detox Systems During Cancer
When I was first diagnosed and I took to reading all the books I could to understand cancer on a deeper level, I read a book called ‘Detox or Die’ which I think the title alone did a really good job of ramming home the importance of detoxing and I have ever since religiously detoxed daily.
When you are told you have cancer by your oncologist, that is really it. You get told ‘You have cancer, here is your (generic) treatment plan’ which usually consists of chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. Whilst there is a time and a place for all of those treatments, by just accepting all of that at face value is to take a passive role in your journey to healing and I learned the hard way that that is not the way to do it. We need to take the driver's seat.
We all have toxins within our bodies due to the toxins we absorb from contaminated food and water, from environmental pollutants, household cleaning and cosmetic products, and even our own bodies produce waste products during normal metabolic processes. Even though we have an efficient built in detoxification system, our bodies can become overworked and over stressed if there is disease present combined with any nutrient deficiencies or stress, all of which can hinder the process, therefore it being a good idea to support our detoxification systems to enhance its ability to keep our immune systems burden low and able to fight cancer more efficiently. Detoxing whilst healing from cancer is absolutely vital to reduce the toxic burden on our organs, to support our immune systems as a high toxin load can weaken immune function, making it harder for the body to fight cancer.
Powerful Tools to Support Detox and Healing
Therapies like coffee enemas, cold plunges, infrared saunas, and colonics enhance detoxification, boost circulation, and strengthen immune resilience by flushing toxins, stimulating immune function, and creating a healthier internal environment to support your body’s fight against cancer.

Infrared Sauna
Infrared saunas promote sweating, a natural detoxification process that helps the body eliminate toxins stored in fat cells, like heavy metals (e.g., mercury, lead) and certain chemicals (e.g., BPA, phthalates).

Coffee Enemas
Coffee enemas are a great, relatively inexpensive yet effective way to enhance our detoxification process that can be done at home.

Colonics
Colonics have been in my detox line up ever since I started out on this healing journey. They are a great way to support detoxification.

Cold Plunge
A cold plunge is a great way to get our lymphatic system moving and therefore draining which is essential for supporting the body's detoxification process.

Red & NIR Light Therapy
Red and NIR light stimulate the mitochondria (your cells’ energy centers). This boost helps organs like your liver, kidneys, and lymph system work better. All of which are essential for detox.
