Eat to heal the gut

Eat to heal the gut

70-80% of our immune system is located in the gut. A healthy and balanced gut microbiome is essential for a high functioning immune system. A balanced, diverse microbiome helps train and support immune cells, including T-cells, natural killer (NK) cells, and macrophages, all of which play important roles in detecting and eliminating cancer cells. A healthy gut with the right balance of good bacteria has been strongly linked to better immunotherapy treatment outcomes in patients as well as it helping chemotherapy to be more effective and suffer less side effects.
